If only the Texas heat was bearable to enjoy. Although, Summertime is settled for another several months, there is always something to look forward to... fashion, of course.

Fueling the eternal addiction to classic film stars and their sublime off camera style. In regards to the white swimsuit... I'm always partial, even without a suntan. Anyhow, you can never trust anybody well - tanned. Oh, summer, the power you have to make us ache, and like it.

Ryan Korban is the clever interior designer behind these fabulous spaces. His website showcases even more unique work while a lovely strings only version of 'Seven Nation Army' by White Stripes plays in the background. Do you think an animal's fur and/or hide could be Korban's design muse in account of them being in almost every captivating image? I love how all of the books, books, and more books work their way seamlessly into each room.
“I think we’re a kind of desperation. We’re sort of a maddening luxury. The basic and essential human is the woman, and all that we’re doing is trying to brighten up the place. That’s why all the birds who belong to our sex have prettier feathers / because males have got to try and justify their existence.” - Orson Welles
Have you noticed the truly marvelous collection of feather decked model chairs on the lower tier of the side table?

I am currently on intermission before my summer term at Parsons breaks the ice. Lately, I have decided spend a babyish amount of time on the internet, and absorbing most of it in Whit Hank's and other various stores, galleries, and auctions playing a fanatic haggler. The decorating refresh is almost supremely complete at the loft, but I keep asking myself, "Will I really finish all of this?" ... too much inspiration, too little free time on my hands.
The image above is obviously not my home, but I love the installation/sculpture of the giant head made of different letter's of the alphabet. Oh, and the dogs on the left ... so perfect.

"You learn as you grow up, if you're intelligent – or even three-quarter witted – that there's no free lunch. You pay for things in various ways. Living, loving, everything else is a matter of the same principles: you learn to work with what you have. And there's nobody today who can't do something to help herself." ~quote from the spot-on and fabulous, Iris Apfel
